WHO IS GRETCHEN WILDER?

You may be asking yourself, why the ribbons over part of her face? Great question! I'm not ready to share this part of my life with everyone - just yet. Not sure they help much for those who know me, but they make me feel better, lol.

I've been married to my amazing husband for over two decades. We have two beautiful kids and a spoiled rotten puppy. I'm a proud Latina who has lived in the southeast United States since I was a toddler. As for my career, I have worked for the same program since I graduated college and love what I do and the people I work with. 

 

Writing has been a hobby of mine for many years, but only since COVID lockdowns have I really delved into it. Up until now, I've written on a popular app and several of my books have been contest winners. Before taking a step back from the app and deleting most my books there, I had over 8.6K followers, over 440,000 reads, and my books had been favorited over 21,000 times! When I compare my first books to my most recent, I can see just how much my voice as a writer has grown. I feel like I'm now in a place in my writing journey where I want to try my luck at publishing mainstream books.

I tend to create flawed characters who grow throughout their book(s). I strive for that epic love story vibe, often with dark undercurrents, and live for characters who have scorching chemistry and evoke feelings of deep emotion. I don't do instant love, and while my steamy scenes are scorching hot, my books are plot driven. If you're looking for a book with more sex than plot, then you may not like mine. Oh, and I do make my characters work hard for their happily ever after...

As for my other hobbies, I love to spend time with family and friends, read, and am almost always listening to music.
